FEMA and the Texas Floods
The floodwaters came fast and furious in Texas this July. Over 120 Americans lost their lives in a matter of hours as the Guadalupe River turned into a raging force of nature. Homes were swept away. Families were separated. Entire communities were left underwater—both literally and emotionally. And we don’t even want to mention the poor camp kids.
This is the kind of disaster that affects us all. No one could see those images and not feel their hearts breaking. But through it all, it taught us something about our government’s response to disaster.
FEMA showed up.
Yes, that FEMA. The same bloated agency that once took weeks to mobilize after Hurricane Katrina. The same bureaucracy that used to stumble over paperwork while Americans cried out for help. That FEMA is no more—not under President Trump’s watch.
Let’s get one thing straight: when Trump first returned to the Oval Office, FEMA was a joke. A sluggish, outdated mess. It looked more like a retirement club for career bureaucrats than a national emergency response team.
President Trump didn’t ignore it. He didn’t play nice. He did what a real leader does—he threatened to dismantle the whole thing. Burn it to the ground if it couldn’t serve the American people.
Guess what? That got their attention.
When the Texas floods hit, FEMA wasn’t absent. It wasn’t confused. It was there. Not in a matter of weeks, but in a matter of days—sometimes hours—bringing supplies, coordinating shelters, and helping first responders do what they do best: save lives.
Now, is it perfect? Of course not.
We're not going to sugarcoat it. There are serious questions about why the local warning system failed to alert Texans in time. We need answers—and accountability—on why more lives weren’t saved before the waters rose.
But let’s not pretend that’s the President’s fault. That’s a state-level problem, and you can bet Trump is already on the phone with Governor Abbott, making sure it never happens again.
What this disaster proves is that the rebuilding of our federal government is working. Not through “hope for change,” but through accountability and action. President Trump isn’t afraid to rattle the cages. He doesn’t pat bloated agencies on the back for doing the bare minimum. He demands results—or he starts sharpening the axe.
Leading a country isn’t easy. Rebuilding a shattered government while under constant attack from the media, the deep state, and globalist parasites? That’s the hardest job in the world.
No one should expect miracles in six months. But we’re getting there.
Every day, brick by brick, agency by agency, President Trump is restoring government to the people it was meant to serve. And the only way we lose this progress is if we lose faith in the man doing the heavy lifting.
So, to the patriots watching this storm and wondering if the system still works, look again. FEMA showed up because Trump made them show up. That’s what real leadership looks like.
Let’s not stop now. Let’s finish the job.
And don’t forget our friends and neighbors in Texas, as they struggle to get their lives back on track.
