Fixing the FAA
Telling the story of the return to American greatness.

It was a very bad week for the aviation industry with multiple incidents. The President said these incidents resulted from lowered standards due to DEI quotas. This was not received well by many. Neither were his tariffs against Canada, Mexico, and China. We provide links to the important stories below and much more. In this issue:

The FAA Needs Fixing — Fast.
Air travel is supposed to be the safest mode of transportation in America. For decades, that’s been a point of national pride. We didn’t build the most advanced aviation system in the world by playing it safe with second-rate standards or political distractions. We built it through innovation, hard work, and—yes—holding people to high expectations.
So when January 2025 kicks off with numerous air disasters within our borders, every single American should be asking the same question: What’s happening to our air safety? And more importantly—who’s responsible?
President Trump has made it clear where he stands. He’s calling for a full assessment of the FAA’s air safety practices, and let’s be honest, it’s long overdue. The FAA, under previous administrations, has been more interested in virtue-signaling through DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives than making sure planes land safely. And before anyone jumps in with the predictable “that’s racist” nonsense, let’s take a breath.
As White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says—brilliantly, I might add—“Two things can both be true.” DEI quotas do lower the bar and degrade safety standards. And many of the people that DEI initiatives were designed to help are, in fact, highly qualified. There’s no contradiction there. The problem arises when the focus shifts from finding the best person for the job to meeting a bureaucratic quota. And in aviation, where lives are literally on the line, that’s unacceptable.
This Isn’t About Diversity—It’s About Standards
Let’s get this straight: This isn’t an attack on minorities, women, or anyone else. It’s an attack on lowering standards for the sake of optics. You can have a diverse workforce without sacrificing safety or excellence. America’s always been about rewarding talent and hard work, no matter your background. But when you prioritize quotas over qualifications, you’re putting politics ahead of public safety. That’s exactly what’s happening, and the results are falling from the sky.
According to the FAA, there have been around 15 plane crashes or minor collisions so far in the U.S. in 2025. This should be a blaring wake-up call. Are we really going to let political correctness keep endangering American lives? Or will we demand the FAA gets back to what it’s supposed to do—ensuring air safety above all else?
Let’s not pretend the President’s critics aren’t salivating over this. They’ll do anything to twist the narrative, painting him as insensitive or worse. They’ll claim he’s targeting minorities. They’ll cry racism. But guess what? The American people are smarter than that. We know that protecting lives comes before protecting feelings.
That’s why the President’s stance on this is not only the right one—it’s a winning one. He’s showing leadership when others would cave to the pressure of the woke mob. He’s not afraid to say what needs to be said: The FAA has lost its focus, and it’s time to clean house.
We’ve seen this play out before. Think back to the military recruitment crisis when standards were lowered to meet “diversity goals.” The result? A weakened force at a time when America’s enemies are circling. It’s the same story here. Lowering the bar might make bureaucrats feel good about their inclusion efforts, but it’s the rest of us who have to live—or die—with the consequences.
What Comes Next
The President’s call to action is clear, and you can bet he’s going to follow through. Here’s what needs to happen:
A top-to-bottom review of the FAA. Every policy, every hiring practice, every DEI program—they’re all on the table. If it doesn’t contribute to air safety, it’s gone.
Restoring performance-based standards. Hiring and promotions should be based on merit—period. If you can’t meet the standards, you don’t get the job. Simple as that.
Accountability for failure. Whoever let this happen should be shown the door. We don’t need excuses, we need results.
This isn’t about pointing fingers. It’s about making sure we don’t have another month like January 2025. Air safety is too important to play politics with, and the American people know it. The President knows it too, and that’s why he’s taking action.
To those trying to twist this into a racial or gender issue: We see you. We know the playbook. But this is bigger than your tired talking points. This is about protecting American families, and ensuring that when we board a plane, we arrive safely at our destination. That’s a goal every American—no matter their background or gender—can get behind.
The time for action is now. And with President Trump leading the charge, we can be confident that change is coming. As he’s proven time and again, when it comes to defending American lives, he doesn’t back down.
