Making Government Work Again

Telling the story of the return to American greatness.

In this issue

The California wildfires constituted a catastrophic disaster that in the old days would have taken years to clean up. President Trump told the EPA to finalize the work in 30 days. And guess what? Just weeks after the work began, EPA hit 75% complete. That’s how it’s done. More on that in this issue, along with more presidential actions, commentary from those watching him, and what’s happening on social media.

Making American Government Work Again

Editorial Team

No one wants to feel like someone is looking over their shoulder at work. We don’t need to be micromanaged to get the job done, but then we’re not government bureaucrats. It appears that they could benefit from some management.

For too long, we’ve been told that government agencies are slow, inefficient, and bloated with bureaucracy. “These things take time,” they say. “This is how it’s always been done.”

Well, President Trump doesn’t believe in that nonsense. And once again, he’s proving the naysayers wrong.

Let’s talk about the catastrophic California wildfires. We all saw the devastation—entire towns wiped out, lives upended, the kind of destruction that takes years to clean up under normal government operations. But we’re not living in normal times. We’re living in an era where leadership means action, not excuses.

President Trump gave the EPA a direct order: get the job done in 30 days.

And guess what? Just weeks after the cleanup started, the EPA hit 75% completion. Let that sink in. An agency that typically drags its feet—like most in Washington—is suddenly running like a well-oiled machine.

Why? Because Trump demands results. That’s what managers do and as head of the executive branch of the U.S. Government, that’s his job. And he’s doing it.

This isn’t just about wildfire cleanup. This is about a fundamental shift in how government operates.

The same administration that’s cracking down on fraud and abuse in government payouts is also holding agencies accountable to deliver real results for the American people. Bureaucracy doesn’t stand a chance when real leadership steps in - or it stops being a bad word and becomes something truly useful for the American taxpayer.

Think about what this means. If one man’s leadership can force the EPA to get this much work done in record time, what else could we fix?

How about our broken immigration system? Our bloated budgets? The endless red tape strangling American businesses? The answer is simple: if we had more leaders like Trump at every level, we wouldn’t have to wait decades for problems to be solved.

This is the America we deserve—where government works for the people, not the other way around. Where agencies don’t sit on their hands, making excuses, but actually get the job done. It’s not impossible; we’re watching it happen in real time.

So next time some career bureaucrat or media talking head tells you that things “just take time,” remind them what’s happening at the EPA. Remind them that with the right leadership, anything is possible. And remind them that America doesn’t have time to waste on excuses. We’ve got a country to rebuild.

President Trump is showing us the way. It’s up to us to follow.
