The Education Earthquake
Well, it finally happened. After decades of bloated bureaucracy, Washington red tape, and leftist indoctrination, President Trump took a sledgehammer to the Department of Education, laying off nearly 1,400 workers — and the Supreme Court handed him the green light.
And let me tell you: it’s about time.
This week, the highest court in the land ruled that the federal government doesn’t get to micromanage the education of every child from sea to shining sea. Trump’s plan to lay off more than 1,400 federal education workers and begin dismantling large portions of the Department had been locked up in court. Predictably, the liberal media began screaming that the sky is falling immediately.
They blocked the action, for a time. But now the Supreme Court has cleared the way.
But here’s what the liberal media is not telling you: this isn’t about destroying education. This is about restoring it—putting it back into the hands of the people who actually know and care about our kids.
Remember Who Education Is For
For too long, Washington has treated education like a tool for social engineering. Critical race theory. Radical gender ideology. Anti-American textbooks that twist the truth and paint our Founding Fathers as villains.
That’s what the federal bureaucracy gave us.
Now imagine this: what if we let local communities decide what their children learn? What if state and local governments—not unelected bureaucrats—determined curriculum, standards, and values?
That’s called freedom. That’s what the Constitution envisioned.
The States Know Best
Let’s get real—do you really think someone sitting behind a desk in D.C. understands what a third grader in rural Texas needs better than her teacher and her parents? Of course not.
Education is not one-size-fits-all. What works in Wyoming might not work in New York City, and that’s okay. That’s the beauty of a republic.
When we return power to the states, we allow innovation. We allow schools to reflect the values of their communities. We stop forcing top-down mandates from bureaucrats who wouldn’t last ten minutes in a real classroom.
“But, what about funding?”
Glad you asked.
The administration is taking heat for holding back $6.8 billion in federal funding. But here’s the thing: when the feds get involved, that money always comes with strings attached. Want funding? Then teach what we say. Follow our rules. Obey our agenda.
No more.
By removing the golden handcuffs, we allow states to fund their schools how they see fit, and we strip the radicals of their power to bribe districts into submission.
A Message to American Parents
To every mom and dad out there who’s watched your child come home confused about their country, their history, or even their identity—this is your moment.
The tide is turning.
President Trump is giving power back to the people. But now, it’s up to us to take it. Run for your local school board. Support candidates who believe in faith, family, and facts, not fantasy. Demand transparency from your district.
We’re not tearing down education. We’re building it back the American way.
And that, my friends, is something worth fighting for.
